Community Connections 2019

Welcome to Community Connections for another year. We are looking forward to building upon what we started year. We also have been encouraged by the positive input from other people even given the many rain-outs last summer. Many will be returning from last year and some new participants are also available to move forward in 2019.

Community Connections still remains a community event with the faith community taking point position. It is also great to have such multi-church representation for this outreach as well as community agencies and organizations.

Our mission still remains that we seek the welfare of the city, in seeking its welfare it becomes our welfare (Jer. 29:7). I would like to propose another dimension to our summer outreach; that of servant leadership. It would work this way. Each operational sector -  example food service, would have co-leaders but would also be looking to engage the younger generation in serving with them. By being intentional to model servant-hood we will increase capacity of our community to love and care for one another.
