| Description: | Powdermill Pond/Hollis Rail Trail/Marra's Home Kayaking Powdermill Pond in Bennington: Paul Sontag, Leader This is an easy, flatwater paddle with plenty of opportunities to observe nature (read: bring binoculars!). Meet at the church parking lot at 12:30. Some kayaks are available - first-come, first served - contact Paul at paulsontag@comcast.net for availability and transportation options for your own kayak(he has a trailer with space for several).
Biking the Hollis Rail Trail: Chyrel Kneeland, Leader This is an easy trail which is paved and travels through wooded areas and towns near the Nashua River. Meet at 12:30 in the church parking lot , or as an alternative, meet between 1 and 1:15 at the trailhead parking lot on Gilson Road in Hollis. Directions: heading east on 111, continue past the 111/111A intersection. Take next right onto Old Runnells Bridge Road. Take the next right onto Gilson Road.
Pool Party / Cookout @ the Marra's Home: Non-kayaker/bikers are welcome to hang out for swimming, fellowship and food as well as those who have participated in one of the afternoon activities. Hamburgers, hot dogs, and drinks will be available - please bring a monetary donation to cover the cost. Please also feel free to bring a side dish/salad to share. Start timeframe: between 4 and 4:30. |
