The Counselor's Corner is an forum for me, Kathy Smith, to provide Biblical perspectives on psychological/mental health issues
Hi! Many of you know me. For those who don't, my name is Kathryn Smith( Kathy) and I am working on my clinical hours for NH state licensure as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor. I believe that this is what God is leading me into at this time in my life, to offer Christian mental health therapy/counseling to those seeking help in this area. I work in conjuction with Pastors Kyn G'Danian and Paul Sontag to provide an alternative to secular psychotherapy, as well as provide information and resources to those seeking help in the area of mental/spiritual health. I would like this forum to be a place that I can write small articles on various topics such as depression, stress management, child and adolescent development, marriage and family issues, as well as information on more serious mental health issues such as living with bipolar disorder, childhood sexual abuse, post-traumatic stress disorder, schizophrenia and substance abuse. I don't proport to be an expert on all theses topics, but I have acccess articles and resources that could be helpful.I also willl provide a link to my web-site to direct people to my office in Nashua where I do my professional therapy for my clinical hours.
So, pray for me as I desire God to guide my words and thoughts, and use me that will be a comfort and place of emotional healing for the Body of Christ at LWCC, and the local towns around Nashua/Milford.
